WHAT DO THE (CODES) MEAN?
Beginning in 2006, all member groups participating in the Combined Federal Campaigns (CFC) are required to categorize their organizations based upon the National Taxonomy of Exempt Entities (NTEE) developed by the National Center for Charitable Statistics. The NTEE system has 26 major groups of categories each represented by a letter of the alphabet.
